Shell Survivor

About Shell Survivor

Who would expect a little potato to stand against an entire army of aliens? That's the unusual setup behind Shell Survivor, a top-down arena survival shooter developed by AZGames. Stranded in a dark graveyard filled with hostile creatures, your character must fight through 20 waves of increasingly dangerous enemies and take down the final boss.

The twist is that you don't have to handle every attack yourself. Your weapons automatically target and shoot nearby enemies, leaving you free to concentrate on movement, positioning, and collecting resources. It sounds manageable until the arena fills with monsters from every direction.

Outlast Alien Swarms and Build a Stronger Arsenal

Every wave puts your survival skills to the test. Defeated enemies drop materials that serve as both experience and in-game currency. Collect them to unlock stat improvements or save them for the shop between battles.

There is plenty of room to experiment with your equipment. You can carry up to six weapons simultaneously, combining firearms, melee attacks, and explosive options to create a setup that suits your approach. Finding two identical weapons of the same tier also allows you to merge them into a stronger version.

The upgrade shop adds another layer of decision-making. You can purchase useful equipment, refresh available offers, or lock an item for a future visit. With 17 playable characters, 56 weapons, and 136 items, different combinations can lead to surprisingly different runs.

Small Decisions That Make a Big Difference

Surviving longer isn't just about collecting the most powerful weapons. Enemy groups become harder to handle as the waves progress, so your movement and upgrade choices matter just as much.

A few habits can make your runs more manageable:

  • Keep moving instead of allowing enemies to surround you.
  • Collect materials when the surrounding area is safe.
  • Choose upgrades that complement your existing weapons.
  • Merge duplicate weapons to improve their strength.
  • Balance offensive power with health, armour, and movement speed.
